Delve introduces cheap Mut 20 coins a brand new NPC called Niko the Mad, an engineer and inventor who's obsessed with exploring this long-abandoned Azurite mine plunged into shadow that was deathly. He has devised a light-emitting vehicle, called a Crawler, that charts a course and lays a series of lights to illuminate its own path. The player needs to do is follow along to its destination to unlock another part of their dungeon that is infinite.
To power it, though, players will need to locate out a source in the world named Voltaxic Sulphite. This is Delve plugs into the normal development loop of Path of Exile. You'll encounter veins of Voltaxic Sulphite and can summon Niko to come and harvest it while adventuring throughout the story or endgame. Just one vein is enough to do a quick trip through the mines or you could hoard it (to a point) and invest it on a much longer spelunking session. There is no gain through the mines to long or short excursions, Wilson states. It is just giving players the freedom to perform Delve the way they want.
Once you decide to take a trip it is similar to the majority of Path of Exile's dungeons, only the map is linear. The Crawler will start working its way slowing or speeding up to keep pace with the participant while hordes of creatures attack. Adhere to the light in the Crawler and you're going to be safe--but where's the fun in that?
As the Crawler moves through the dungeon, players will spy all kinds of treasures. What is worse, creatures will try to ambush you and keep you from making it back to the Crawler punctually. It is a tense game of risk versus reward at each step, especially if you're like me and hate the idea of leaving treasure behind.
In the future, Providentially, the Crawler leaves behind a series of lights. When it reaches the end of the map, these lights illuminate. After you survive one last fight against a boss or waves of enemies, the delve is complete and you are free to return and hazard diving into darkened regions you jumped.
Even if you're risk-averse and stick to the light, delves will nevertheless Mut 20 coins offer great benefits and nail-biting challenges. Grinding Gear Games has included several new critters. 1 instance I was revealed was a monster that elicits EMP bursts that briefly shut off the Crawler's light completely.
